So I just realized we live in a world aided by technology and apps and all sorts of things and that I don’t need to wait until I get home to start typing on my laptop for a blog post, or to check and respond to email as soon as I’m in the warm glow of my computer screen.
Currently I’m typing on my phone, a tool that recently won the ability to connect via Bluetooth to PS4 and Xbox One controllers time ease the nightmare that is a touch screen when it comes to mobile gaming.
I have stuff like this written in my notes app all the time, but I think it’s true! “The World Ends With You” creates by SquareEnix boasted communicative gameplay to upgrade your player characters arsenal and the Nintendo 3DS found a lifetime of success with its populate street pass feature. I even discovered an active gaming community for the Nintendo 3DS, IN BOSTON (surprise surprise) that was named after the feature, now called “Switchpass and Play” due to the release of the Nintendo Switch.
When the iPhone first released a popular app was the “Bump” app that instantly (I think I never used it) traded contact information between people that used the app. So there’s definitely a future for communication and co-op play in the mobile game market.
i know what’s popular right now is cross play, and there’s even a video of a kid playing and winning a competitive match of “Fortnite” on an iPad VS a “MLG Pro” player on an Xbox one.
Still, I’d like to think that I could enjoy and play a game casually with friends as easily as it would be to call or text them… Nintendo.
